We deal with all aspects of Property Litigation, including the following:

  • bringing and defending proceedings for renewals of business leases under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954;
  • serving and defending schedules of dilapidations;
  • advising on the forfeiture of leases and, conversely, acting on behalf of tenants in applications for relief from forfeiture;
  • advising on landlords' options and acting on behalf of landlords when a tenant enters into administration or other insolvency process;
  • taking action against guarantors of leases (whether under an Authorised Guarantee or otherwise);
  • taking steps against tenants for non-payment of rent;
  • the service of notice on sub-tenants for payment of rent due from our client's tenant;
  • taking steps to obtain possession of properties from residential tenants and bringing claims for arrears of rent; and
  • taking steps to obtain possession of property occupied by squatters
