Commercial Property Litigation
We deal with all aspects of Property Litigation, including the following:
- bringing and defending proceedings for renewals of business leases under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954;
- serving and defending schedules of dilapidations;
- advising on the forfeiture of leases and, conversely, acting on behalf of tenants in applications for relief from forfeiture;
- advising on landlords' options and acting on behalf of landlords when a tenant enters into administration or other insolvency process;
- taking action against guarantors of leases (whether under an Authorised Guarantee or otherwise);
- taking steps against tenants for non-payment of rent;
- the service of notice on sub-tenants for payment of rent due from our client's tenant;
- taking steps to obtain possession of properties from residential tenants and bringing claims for arrears of rent; and
- taking steps to obtain possession of property occupied by squatters
