Kathryn Johnston
Associate
Kathryn is an Associate Solicitor in our litigation team. Having worked as a paralegal in a niche insolvency practice and trained in a regional law firm, Kathryn qualified in 2015. After a career break, working in disability advocacy and conducting cases in the Australian Administrative Tribunal, Kathryn returned to practice in 2024 with Nicholas & Co.
Kathryn assists in property disputes in both the Courts and Tribunals in relation to service charges, right to manage and related disputes.
Kathryn has an interest in debt recovery and insolvency, conducting contested bankruptcy and winding up proceedings for both petitioners and respondents, through to advising on the effect of insolvency and monitoring the process of appointment holders. She also advised on and obtained a Part 1a Moratorium to allow a company breathing space to explore recovery options.
Kathryn is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the Commercial Litigation Association.
Outside of work Kathryn enjoys travelling, having spent a couple of years backpacking and exploring other cultures, spending time with her son and dog and re-exploring the Cotswolds.
